Tiger & Bunny Again Tops Fan Poll of Desired Anime Sequels

The Anime! Anime! website conducted a poll from October 27 to October 31 that asked fans which anime sequels they want to see. The poll divided anime in two categories: anime inspired by another original work (e.g. manga, light novel) and original anime not based on another work. The website held a preliminary survey on Twitter to select 30 titles to include in the poll.
A total of 13,938 people took part in the poll, an increase of about 200 votes from last year's similar poll that received 13,752 votes. The poll's sex ratio was divided between 20% male and 80% female respondents. About 20% of respondents were in their 10s, 50% in their 20s, and 20% in their 30s.
Tiger & Bunny topped the poll with 4000 votes, which is about 30% of the total number of votes received. The 2011 television anime series already received two compilation films and the Tiger & Bunny The Movie -The Rising- sequel film in 2014. This is the second year in a row that the anime topped the website's poll of fans' most-wanted original anime sequels.
The poll's second- and third-ranked anime also retained their positions from last year's poll. The 2011 anime Psycho-Pass, which received a sequel series in 2014 and a film in 2015, came in at #2. The 2007 series Mononoke, a spinoff of 2006's Ayakashi - Samurai Horror Tales, ranked third.

The fourth-, sixth-, and ninth-ranked series were new in this year's poll. Anime! Anime! has yet to announce the winners for the poll's category for anime inspired by other works.
Japanese Internet service provider BIGLOBE held a similar poll in 2012 that included original anime as well as anime based on other works. Toradora!, Angel Beats!, and Tiger & Bunny made up the top three.
