Yen Press Adds Delicious in Dungeon & No Game No Life, Desu! Manga, your name. Manga & Novels

North American manga and light novel publisher Yen Press, LLC announced on Friday that it has licensed Ryōko Kui's Delicious in Dungeon (Dungeon Meshi) manga, Yuu Kamiya and Kazuya Yuizaki's No Game No Life, Desu! spinoff manga, and Makoto Shinkai's your name. novel, Ranmaru Kotone's manga adaptation, and Arata Kanō's your name. Another Side:Earthbound spinoff novel. Yen Press will release the first volumes of Delicious in Dungeon and No Game No Life, Desu! in spring 2017, and will release Shinkai's your name. novel in May 2017.
Yen Press describes Delicious in Dungeon:
What do you get when you cross dungeon adventures and food manga? You get Delicious in Dungeon, where we find our troupe of adventurers on a mission to save their lost team member while figuring out how to survive on the food that the dungeon provides. When young adventurer Laios and his company are attacked and soundly thrashed by a dragon deep in a dungeon, the party loses all its money and provisions. They're eager to get right back to it, but there's just one problem: if they set out with no food or coin to speak of, they're sure to eat it on the way! But Laios comes up with a brilliant idea: "Let's eat the monsters!" Slimes, basilisks, mimics, and even dragons...none are safe from the appetites of these dungeon-crawling gourmands!
Kui launched the manga in Kadokawa's Harta magazine in February 2014, and Kadokawa released the manga's third compiled volume on August 12. The manga was nominated for the ninth Manga Taisho awards earlier this year. The series also topped the Kono Manga ga Sugoi! 2016 list of top 20 manga for male readers, and ranked at #13 on Da Vinci magazine's comic rankings for 2015.
Yuizaki's spinoff manga based on Kamiya's No Game No Life light novel series focuses on Izuna Hatsuse and her daily life. Yuizaki launched the series in Kadokawa's Monthly Comic Alive magazine in the magazine's July 2015 issue, and Kadokawa published the manga's second compiled volume on August 23.
Yen Press is also releasing the original light novel series in North America digitally and in print, and it will release the fifth novel in print on December 20. Seven Seas is releasing Mashiro Hiiragi's main manga adaptation of the novel series in North America, and it published the manga's first volume in October 2014.
The light novel series inspired a 12-episode anime series in 2014. Crunchyroll streamed the series as it aired, and Sentai Filmworks released the series on home video in July 2015. The light novel series is also inspiring an anime film.
Shinkai published the original novel he wrote that inspired his film on June 18, ahead of the film's opening in Japan on August 26. The novel ranked at #1 on Oricon's bunko (trade paperback) book chart for eight weeks in a row, and as of October 16 has sold more than 1 million copies in Japan.
Kanō, who wrote the your name. AnotherSide: Earthbound novel, has also written novelizations for Shinkai's Voices of a Distant Star and The Place Promised in Our Early Days films, as well as a spinoff novel for 5 Centimeters Per Second. The film's character designer Masayoshi Tanaka drew the cover art, and Hiyori Asahikawa illustrated the novel. The novel focuses on supporting characters from the film. The novel has sold 207,000 copies in Japan as of October 16.
Kotone's (Blood-C, Toki o Kakeru Shōjo: Tokikake manga) manga adaptation runs in Kadokawa's Monthly Comic Alive magazine, and Kadokawa published the manga's first compiled volume on August 23. As of October 16 the manga volume has sold 160,000 copies in Japan.
