New Ghost Pokémon Mimikyu Wants to Be Your Friend

Following up previous official Pokémon songs for Magikarp and Slowpoke, the official YouTube channel for the Pokémon franchise released a Japanese song honoring Pokémon Sun & Moon's new fan-favorite.
Mimikyu is a Ghost-type Pokémon that hides under a hand-crafted sack costume to imitate Pikachu. According to the song lyrics, Mimikyu did this to win over friends since Pikachu is so popular. Despite being a Ghost-type, it promises it isn't a "spook" and will protect its trainer with its dark claw and Thundervolt attacks. So won't you be its friend?
The Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon games will debut in Japan and North America on November 18, followed by Europe on November 23. A demo for the game is available now. The games will be available on the Nintendo 3DS worldwide in Japanese, English, French, Italian, German, Spanish, Korean, and — unlike in the previous generation — Chinese (Traditional and Simplified). Players can choose their preferred language when they launch each game. The two versions will be set 12 hours apart.
