Junichi Suwabe Asks People to Stop Illegal Uploading

Voice actor Junichi Suwabe discussed illegal uploading on his official Twitter account on Wednesday. He said:
Production costs are required to make programs. If [producers] can't recover production costs, then [the show] will end, and it's also not possible to make new programs.Why is illegal uploading bad? There might not be much thinking along those lines, but it's essentially the same act as leaving a restaurant without paying or shoplifting. If that is continued, shops will go out of business, won't they?
Suwabe mentioned that a large number of illegal uploads of his Suwabe Junichi一Tobidase!! Nomi Nakama television series had finally been deleted. In the live-action program, Suwabe meets guests at bars and pubs to talk while drinking alcohol.
The voice actor asked people reading his message to stop uploading his show. He said that dealing with the illegal uploads had been a recent source of stress.
Suwabe has voiced characters in anime such as One Piece (Vergo), X (Fuuma Monou), Fullmetal Alchemist (Greed), Fate/stay Night (Archer), Trinity Blood (Cain Nightroad), NANA (Kyosuke Takakura), Lovely Complex (Kuniumi Maitake), Black Bulter (Undertaker), Vampire Knight (Akatsuki Kain), The Prince of Tennis (Keigo Atobe), The Tatami Galaxy (Jōgasaki), Mushibugyō (Yukimura Sanada), Yowamushi Pedal (Toji Kanzaki), Kuroko's Basketball (Daiki Aomine), My Hero Academia (Shota Aizawa), and Uta no Prince-sama - Maji Love 1000% (Ren Jingūji).
Suwabe attended this year's Anime Expo convention in Los Angeles in July.
Voice actors are not alone in asking fans to stop illegal uploading. The person in charge of copyright for the production committee of Makoto Shinkai's your name. (Kimi no Na wa.) anime film also commented on unauthorized videos on Monday.
The representative thanked fans for making the film a "mega hit" but said that illegal videos of the anime exist. This person asked fans not to view such videos and warned that the spreading of illegal activities is possible through Twitter and other social networking services. The production committee plans to continue to deal strictly with cases of illegal activity.
your name. held its world premiere on July 3 in Los Angeles during Anime Expo, and it opened in Japan on August 26. In total, the film has sold 8,500,000 tickets for 11.1 billion yen (about US$111 million) as of September 25. The film is now 2016's highest-grossing film in Japan. The anime reached 10 billion yen faster than Disney's Frozen, which closed in Japan after earning 25.4 billion yen in the box office to become Japan's #3 highest-grossing film of all time.
Illegal uploading affects individual actors along with production companies. Even though a work is hugely successful, unauthorized uploading can have a significant impact on the financial outcome for current projects and influence the viability of future works. As the Nijimen website remarked, "It's a problem we want everyone to think about."
