Studio Trigger Animator Takafumi Hori Works on Latest Episode of Steven Universe Animated Series

Rebecca Sugar, the creator of Cartoon Network's Steven Universe animated television series, reposted a Tumblr post on Wednesday from Studio Trigger animator Takafumi Hori, who stated that he worked on the latest episode of the series, which premieres at 7:00 p.m. EDT on Thursday. The new episode is titled "Mindful Education."
Hori also drew a promotional art piece for the episode:
Hori noted that the episode marked "the first collaboration of Steven Crewniverse and Studio Trigger." Hori previously worked as an animation director for Kill la Kill, Michiko & Hatchin, and Garo the Animation. He also served as a key animator for Summer Wars, Samurai Champloo, Redline, Space Patrol Luluco, Little Witch Academia, Little Witch Academia: The Enchanted Parade, and Lupin the Third: Jigen's Gravestone, among others.
Steven Universe premiered on Cartoon Network in November 2013, and the show has made numerous homages to several anime series.
