Lollipop Chainsaw Developer Suda51 Talks Game Development in French TV Program

posted on by Amanda Whalen

Video game developer Gōichi Suda, also known as Suda51, was recently featured on the French television program toco toco, which interviews Japan artists and creators about places that are meaningful to them.

Suda, who is currently the CEO of the video game company Grasshopper Manufacture, worked on No More Heroes, Lollipop Chainsaw, Killer is Dead, and Short Peace: Ranko Tsukigime's Longest Day.

In the video, Suda discusses the philosophy behind his games and visits places that inspired his work. The bar seen in the video should be familiar to No More Heroes players.

Suda's upcoming releases include action game Let It Die, which is anticipated for release before the end of 2016, and a worldwide PC remaster of The Silver Case, which was teased at earlier this year.

Previous episodes of toco toco toured a manga-ka share house, and interviewed Ghost in the Shell composer Kenji Kawai, Space Brothers creator Chūya Koyama, veteran animator Manabu Oohashi, "Tentacle Master" Toshio Maeda, and more.
