Player Creates Working Game Boy Advance With Pokémon FireRed in Minecraft

A Minecraft player who goes by the username Reqaug posted a video of a new kind of creation within the game: a working Game Boy Advance that can play Pokémon FireRed.

The project is still a work in progress—Reqaug still plans add the game's dialogue and battle functions—but players who download the map have the added option of customizing their Pokémon levels within the virtual Game Boy Advance.

It's not the first time a Minecraft player has tackled Pokémon FireRed: another user previously recreated all of Pokémon's Kanto region within the game, with Pokémon replacing Minecraft's usual sheep, pig, and cows.
