Ponycan USA to Release Kuromukuro, The Lost Village, DAYS, Cute High Earth Defense Club LOVE! LOVE! in the U.S.

Kuromukuro premiered on Netflix in U.S. on Monday

Ponycan USA confirmed with ANN on Thursday that it is planning to release the Kuromukuro, The Lost Village (Mayoiga), DAYS, and Cute High Earth Defense Club LOVE! LOVE! anime in the United States. The company did not provide the format of the release, or the release dates for the anime. Ponycan USA promoted Kuromukuro and The Lost Village anime at Sakura-Con in March.

Ponycan USA describes Kuromukuro:

During the construction of the Kurobe Dam, an ancient artifact was discovered, and so the United Nations Kurobe Research Institute was established. Intellectuals from all over the world gathered to study the object, and the children of those researchers attend Tateyama International High School, including the institute head's daughter, Yukina Shirahane. In the summer of 2016, a lone samurai once again awakens.

Netflix began streaming Kuromukuro in Japan on April 11 with English subtitles, and it streams new episodes weekly. The anime premiered in Japan on Tokyo MX on April 7. The show premiered on Netflix outside of Japan on Monday.

The first two episodes of the show debuted at Anime Expo over the weekend. The anime will have a total of 26 episodes.

Ponycan USA describes The Lost Village:

30 young men and women who came together on a shady bus tour. The tour's destination: an illusive, possibly nonexistent village called Nanakimura. In Nanakimura, one can lead a utopian existence, free of the world's obstacles … or so it was rumored, like an urban legend. “In despair over the real world … wanting to escape the tedious daily life … wanting to restart your life from scratch…” The bus headed deep into the mountains, carrying 30 people each harboring their own expectations and wounds in their hearts… And so, the place these 30 arrived at, was an uninhabited village with the lingering faint scents of life, even though it was falling apart. What is the truth of Nanakimura facing the 30? You can't miss even one episode!

The anime premiered in Japan on WOWOW on April 1. Crunchyroll streamed the series as it aired in Japan. Tsutomu Mizushima (Girls und Panzer, Shirobako, Prison School) directed the series at anime studio diomedéa (Kan Colle). Mari Okada (anohana: The Flower We Saw That Day, The Anthem of the Heart, Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans) served as series script supervisor, Naomi Ide (Kan Colle) designed the characters, and Mizushima personally directed the sound at Studio Mausu. Masaru Yokoyama (The Anthem of the Heart, Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans) composed the music at Pony Canyon.

Ponycan USA describes DAYS:

The two boys chance meeting on a stormy night. With no skills or outstanding features, one boy hides a passionate heart, Tsukushi Tsukamoto. The other is a lonely soccer genius, Jin Kazama. The winds of change begin to blow in the world of high school soccer as these two boys with nothing in common come together. The curtain on this hot-blooded, touching story is rising… Tsukushi joins the Seiseki Soccer Club with Kazama ,and the wheels of fate start to turn. The prodigy, Jin Kazama. Star high school player and captain, Hisahito Mizuki. The calm and collected playmaker, Atsushi Kimishita. The towering forward, Kiichi Oshiba. Amongst all these talented players with high expectations of them, Tsukushi forges ahead. The anime premiered on MBS on Sunday, July 3 at 2:58 a.m. Crunchyroll is streaming the series as it airs.

Kônosuke Uda (One Piece, Ginga e Kickoff!!, Majin Bone) is directing the anime at MAPPA (Terror in Resonance, Rage of Bahamut Genesis). Kazuto Nakazawa (El-Hazard: The Wanderers, The Legend of Black Heaven, Terror in Resonance) is designing the characters for animation, and Masafumi Mima (Macross Frontier, Infinite Stratos, Attack on Titan) is in charge of sound direction at Techno Sound. Yoshihiro Ike (Empire of Corpses, Cobra The Animation, Rage of Bahamut Genesis) is composing the music, and Pony Canyon is producing the music.

Ponycan USA describes Cute High Earth Defense Club LOVE! LOVE!:

Binan High School in Northern Kanto is the home for the Binan High School Earth Defense Club. Under strange circumstances, they'd transformed into Battle Lovers and started taking on the Earth Conquest Club. And now it's been half a year since they started. They find out that the Defense Club and the Conquest Club were being pitted against each other due to a program on TV Space. And after the two clubs reconcile, they work together to defeat the mastermind, the show director, and get it canceled.

“Now we don't have to fight anymore,” they thought, and decided to enjoy their high school lives. On one such day, they were lazing around in the Kurotamayu bathhouse, when…

The anime will premiere in Japan on TV Tokyo on Thursday, July 7. Funimation and Crunchyroll will both stream the series as it airs in Japan.

Studio Comet is animating the new season instead of diomedéa. Chizuru Miyawaki is still credited for design concept, but not as associate director. Yumiko Hara, the sub character designer and prop designer on the first season, replaces Masakazu Ishikawa as the main character designer. Tomoko Miyakawa is the new sub character designer and prop designer. Miyakawa is also the new chief animation director along with Atsuko Takahashi. Hiroaki Tanaka replaces Yasuyuki Itou as director of photography.

The first season premiered in Japan in January 2015. Crunchyroll, Funimation, and Viewster streamed the anime as it aired in Japan. Ponycan USA released the series on DVD and Blu-ray Disc combo packs.
