Monster Hunter Stories Game Plans Pom Pom Purin, DAIGO DLC

CAPCOM's Monster Hunter Stories Nintendo 3DS role-playing game isn't even out until October but the company is already planning its downloadable content. After the game's release, CAPCOM will offer a Pom Pom Purin costume for Naviloo, turning the Felyne into Sanrio's beret-wearing dog mascot.
More details on how to obtain the costume will be announced later.
The recently wed singer and BREAKERZ band member DAIGO (Daigo Naitō) is helping promote the game as its official commercial "image character." He previously starred in commercials promoting Monster Hunter X last year. This time a character based on himself will appear in the commercials, and later his costume and gear will be available as downloadable content. DAIGO himself designed the "Dai Sword" the character wields.
DAIGO previously voiced a character based on himself in the anime adaptation of his sibling's manga Love Stage!!
Monster Hunter Stories will ship in Japan on October 8. The package version will retail for 5,800 yen (US$53), and the download version will retail for 5,546 yen (US$50). First editions of the game will include a bonus download code for a Rioreus costume or Naviloo. Those with Monster Hunter X save data will also receive a Glavenus one-handed sword for the protagonist plus a Glavenus costume for Naviloo.
