Funassyi Follows Up Budōkan Announcement With Virtual Reality Stage Play

Funassyi is following up its solo Budōkan concert announcement with another one-of-a-kind mascot experience.The unofficial pear-fairy mascot of Funabashi City will star in a virtual reality stage play at the DMM VR theater beginning on June 30.
The story is titled "Legend of Funassyi" and promises to be an "epic fantasy adventure" performed live on a holographic stage in full CG animation.
Tickets will go on sale on April 12.
Funassyi's previous accomplishments include an album that ranked #4 in the Oricon weekly charts, and the happy-go-lucky pear has attracted attention from British comedian John Oliver and CNN. The mascot appeared in its own manga series, the Eiga HappinessCharge PreCure! Ningyō no Kuni no Ballerina film, and its own anime shorts.
